Putting Learning Back Into Courses - Life Back Into Training

Cara Summerfield
Born in New Orleans, LA, I have had a multitude of life experiences that help me when designing, developing coursework, teaching and training adults. My open mindedness and willingness to listen makes me approachable. My family background includes musicians, educators, a judge, and strong passions. I have inherited a little from all areas. I am a life-long learner, which is demonstrated in my academic career. I have been told that I am highly skilled and competent to do anything that I set out to do. My determination and persistence in whatever I am doing prevents me from stopping until the job is done.

My skills include the following:

    • Facilitating and Training
    • Instructional Design
    • Curriculum Development
    • Web Design
    • Writing - Technical, Academic, and Creative Nonfiction

An accomplished academic history includes a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology with a certificate in Adult Education and Training, a M.A. in Composition/Rhetoric and a year of coursework in Capella’s Ph.D. program for Instructional Design.

Currently, I am a student in the MFA Creative Writing program at Regis University writing a spiritual memoir.
